Last week, we took our first REAL family vacation, Tailor made holidays was the best way to build the perfect vacation for us, We have taken trips to back and forth between LA and Sacramento visiting family and friends, but we have not taken one of those vacations where we could sit back and do as we wished. It was a last minute trip which meant a trip to San Francisco was in order to get a rush passport for Broderick. Despite the hectic nature before the trip, it was a wonderful extra long weekend which we spent enjoying the crisp, chilly fall air.
Broderick is one heck of a traveler and bless his heart was a champion on the trip! He got to see an airport fire truck, which is in one of his books and he thought it was just about the coolest thing ever. With the airport fire truck being only one of six books we brought on the trip you can imagine how many times that page came up and how many times he went looking for the green airport fire truck (I did not know that the green fire trucks were known as “airport fire trucks” until his book told us so). Now we all know! I never knew such simple things could bring entertainment to a human. Drains, stairs, fishy’s, vans, buses, fuel trucks, birds, dogs, elevators, the hotel lobby, and the airport fire truck seemed to rule the trip. Each time he spotted one, we would have to stop and inspect it, touch it, climb it, and then hit it or shove something in it. I look forward to many more trips with my little travel buddy.
