So, I admit. I showed up to this session a bit frazzled. I had to bail on Grant in the middle of a feeding (so you can imagine the fit that erupted), Ryan was finishing dinner and had raw chicken juice on his hands so he couldn’t tend to Grant right away.  I said “adios” and just left. I left a crying baby and a husband attempting dinner, but duty calls!

When I arrive I saw that the sun had sunset behind the tall trees sooner than expected. So, I scanned the area for other options as I love to shoot backlit.  I located a small patch of sunlight and we operated the beginning part of this session in that little 3ft x 3ft pocket of light.  Sometimes, I tell you, the light hits just right and makes magic and this was one of those times!

In addition to the perfect light, they are the sweeteset family with an amazing little girl and  she is due in a few weeks with twin boys! I was so happy to capture this little evening for them and hope they love these as much as I do!
