Grant Baby! You are 4 months old and the happiest little bundle of joy we could have ever hoped for! You are soooooooo mellow that sometimes it’s hard to believe you are related to Broderick at all.  You are content and happy just laying and being looked at and goo’d over. Your face goes from completely straight and serious to a full blown, light-up the room smile when you catch eye contact with someone. Your little cheeks form the most perfect circles that just beg to be squeezed.  Seriously, you are a dream baby. The first night we put you in your crib (at 16 weeks old) you slept from 9pm to 7am. We paniked and thought we just never heard you, but nope – you are a big boy and handled that big crib like a champ!

You recently discovered your thumb so you no longer have to shove your entire fist into your month, but instead find a way to slip your thumb in there instead.  Sometimes in the morning, I bring you into bed and attempt to get a few more minutes of sleep while filling up my heart with your sweet scent, the touch of your soft head, and the smell of milk still on your breath. You always point your face right towards me and snuggle right in as if you are letting me know that you are enjoying it as much as I am.

Recently the best part is seeing the way you and your big brother are starting to interact together. He is always asking about you and waits for you to wake up. He enjoys making you comfortable and happy. He will do anything to get a laugh out of you – whether it is jumping on his bed over and over again, or saying “Boo” your laughs bring him so much joy. This fills my soul with more happiness than you can imagine. Your relationship is just beginning and I can’t wait to see what it has in store.
