Time and time again, I am told, “I have no idea what we should wear for our pictures!” I know, you found a great photographer :), booked the session, and now it’s time to find clothes to dress everyone in! I always like the people to be the star of the show and therefore pick locations, lighting, and clothing to help achieve this! This means a soft color palette, with minimal designs (guys no large plaid shirts), and no logos for the kiddos! I promise, just follow those three rules and you should be good-to-go! Usually, I pick a color palette of 2-3 colors and draw from that. I really don’t think family pictures require you to go out and buy new clothes for the whole family, but maybe just a few pieces to make sure everyone looks cohesive 🙂 . In case you need help finding awesome things, I put together a little family picture inspiration board to gather ideas from! I love Zara, JCrew, Gap, and even sometimes H&M has great stuff!
