These frozen bananas pops were so easy to make and such a fun treat for the kids after school snack today!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 bananas
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips (about 1 cup or little less; I just eyeballed it)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (melted coconut oil, canola oil or vegetable oil)
  • 6 popsicle sticks or skewers

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Peel each banana, cut in half and stick a popsicle stick into the cut end of the banana pretty far up.
  2. Add chocolate chips and oil to a microwave safe bowl and microwave in in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval until the mixture is smooth and melted.
  3. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  4. Dip the bananas in the melted chocolate mixture. A spoon is helpful to get the melted chocolate around the banana and get a more even coating.
  5. Sprinkle with toppings while the chocolate is still liquid.
  6. Put the tray of bananas in the freezer for 10 minutes for the chocolate to harden. If adding peanut butter drizzle, do it after your first 10 minute freeze. Keep in freezer until frozen (about 1-2 hours).
  7. Serve frozen!
