Broderick, you are turning two. The big 2! Looking back at your first birthday pictures, it is hard to believe what a little man you have became in just 365 days. I have loved everyday we have spent together. You lighten up my life in ways I didn’t know where possible. You make ordinary things extraordinary experiences. I have never been so excited to go “in [a] tunnel”, give a “big ugg (hug)”, or play your “kitty cat goes toot-toot” game. I love your precise nature and cautious behavior. When you are trying to form a sentence you keep trying until you say it as best as you can even if that means repeating it 2x before you get the whole sentence out. You want to learn about everything and are so present in this world. You are my little backseat driver and tell me “green but go” (green button go) and “red but stop” when we drive. You are bossy. You instruct everyone where to sit, what color cup to drink from, what trucks to hold, and what stickers to wear. Never have I seen a little guy so interested in trucks, cars, and trains. I hear stories about Daddy being the same way as a little boy, so apparently the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. You have already figured out ways to scheme to get more toys than allowed. This involves buying a toy for Lambie, having Gee-Gee hold a truck while “baby” holds another one, or even sticking one in your pocket. You love cupcakes and cookies and the color orange. You are decisive and know what you want. You are precious, happy, energetic little guy, with a big heart who loves to “cuddle” and best of all you are ours. We are so lucky to have you and love you so much.
