Cooling Off

Ohhhhh summer…..you have arrived! Your warm mornings, followed by hot afternoons, and muggy nights make for sweaty car seat rides, hot seat belts, air conditioned sleeping, annnnnnd splish-splashing in the pool!

Broderick enjoyed his first dip in the pool and spent the better part of the afternoon getting to know this new element. It was all fun and games until he took a little slip and went face first into the 5 inches of water.  The problem occurred when he tried to recover and took another dive which caused him to take a bit of water in his throat at which point he panicked. This panic resulted in the WWIII cry (as I call it), the one that can only be settled by being snuggled in Momma’s arms. Poor guy was so panicked and scared I thought his first dip in the pool was going to be his first and last. But after we toweled him off and let him warm up in the sun a bit, he was back at it and splashing away in no time!   (P.S. Check out those teeth he has been hard as work on!)
